Hundreds have discovered the delight of cycling along quiet tracks and roads in beautiful scenery on our cycling expeditions. We return home healthy and fit, having had an exciting time exploring carefully selected routes.
Sandy beaches and interesting cycle rides
The Côte Fleurie is a beautiful stretch of coastline with wide sandy beaches. The seaside towns and villages are lavishly decorated with abundant flowers on the promenades and buildings. Our campsite is just 300 metres from a wide, sandy beach, which is ideal for relaxation and swimming. CO13 will arrive back in the UK in the morning, in time for you to travel back home the same day. CO14 will travel during the day in both directions.
Our range of cycle routes take us out to explore the surrounding area, heading inland to explore the attractive country villages, or returning to the coast to visit interesting towns, such as Cabourg. For information on a non-cycling option with excursions, click here.
Wide sandy beaches for relaxation and swimming
Our campsite is just 300 metres from a wide, sandy beach, which is ideal for relaxation and swimming.
The seaside town of Merville-Franceville has a range of economical cafés, seafood restaurants and local shops. The cafés serve mouth-watering crêpes with a large variety of delicious fillings.
Every Saturday night there is a free concert at the bandstand on the promenade. In the Avenue de Paris experience the stalls at the Thursday market and search for bargains.
Country lanes and attractive towns
Our cycle routes take us along the coast and into the heart of the countryside to attractive locations for our lunch-time stop. Beuvron-en-Auge is a village with half-timbered houses dating back to the 17th century. It has been classified as one of the 'most beautiful villages in France' as part of the official nationwide scheme.
Heading west along the coast, we pass the D-day beaches, which have retained the names given to them by allies, such as Sword Beach. The coastline has been fully re-built but monuments along the way provide reminders of its past.
An excellent end to the day
On all our expeditions, after a day’s cycling we return to our campsite for an energising meal, as well as a Bible talk that is always a highlight. We can then relax over a cup of hot chocolate and share stories of the day’s cycling or take part in games and activities.
