Our tour will be a treasured experience. Based on extensive knowledge and many years of travel on the Continent we can offer the best European tour available. Those who aren’t available for the full time can fly to Venice and join us for the rest of the tour (code RT04).
Bruges – the jewel of Belgium
Our first stop is Bruges, one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe. The views from the top of the Belfry are stunning, while the range of chocolate shops is equally impressive!
The vineyards of the Rhine Valley
We make our way to the beautiful Rhine Valley in Germany where we stay near Koblenz. Here you can take a Rhine steamer between the vineyards or ascend effortlessly by chairlift to the heights of the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress.
The medieval city of Prague
We travel eastwards across Germany and enter the Czech Republic, where we take the opportunity to explore Prague – a city not to be missed! Twelve centuries have helped to create a city of beauty and splendour with much of its medieval charm still intact.
Vienna’s Imperial splendour
We continue on to Vienna, visiting the Mauthausen Concentration Camp on the way. Vienna retains its Imperial splendour from the days of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Elegant shops and wide boulevards beckon us, along with the stunning Schonbrunn Palace.
The beautiful Austrian Alps
We relax in the breathtaking beauty of Ziller Valley – a great place from which to explore the magnificent landscape. We also take the opportunity to explore Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart and the setting for ‘The Sound of Music’.
Venice and the Veneto
Those on RT04 join us here. Europe’s masterpiece is Venice. We cruise across the lagoon to visit this unique city where there are no roads, only canals. Visit the Bridge of Sighs or St. Mark’s Square, explore the backstreets or relax on a gondola ride.
Sights and sounds of Rome
Rome, the capital of Italy, boasts a stunning array of sights to match its celebrated past – from the Colosseum and the triumphal arches to the Catacombs, from St Peter’s and the Vatican City to the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain.
Tuscany and the Italian Lakes
The highlights of Tuscany are the world-famous Leaning Tower of Pisa and the architectural magnificence of Florence. After visiting these sights, we enjoy relaxing in the magnificent Alpine region of Lake Maggiore, famed for its temperate climate and breathtaking beauty.
Picture postcard country of Switzerland
Cuckoo clocks, yodelling, chocolate and cheese make up the picture postcard country of Switzerland. Our journey from Italy will take us through this beautiful country where we explore the picturesque city of Lucern.
Paris - the Grand Finale
The grand finale for our tour is Paris, the pride of France with so much to explore! The amazing range of sights includes the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Louvre and Champs Elysées. You can also sit and sip coffee at a Parisian pavement café and watch the world go by or take a cruise on the River Seine.
