Warm seas and medieval towns

Located in the warm Adriatic Sea, Krk Island is a beautiful destination with its medieval villages and attractive, forested areas. There are many water sports available on the island, as well as opportunities for walking and hang gliding. The cafés, with their economical prices, provide an ideal chance to sit and watch the world go by.

Our optional excursion package provides a chance to visit some of the highlights of this superb area. During a day boat trip, we will take the opportunity to visit some of the other islands, which will provide us with an absorbing day out.

Exploring more of Krk island

Krk town is surrounded by olive groves and has an ancient medieval wall. Narrow streets go up from Krk Bay to the old town with its cathedral and the Venetian castle in which concerts are held.

Surrounded by dramatic mountains, Baška is an attractive town with well-preserved sixteenth-century houses above the harbour and a beach stretching for two kilometres. At Punat we cross to the island of Kosljun with its monastery.

Plitvice Lakes - outstanding natural beauty

We also cross to the mainland to visit the Plitvice Lakes as part of our optional excursion package. In this stunningly beautiful parkland area there are sixteen turquoise lakes with cascades and waterfalls rushing between them. We walk across wooden footbridges both under and over the falls. Everywhere there is luxuriant vegetation. Wolves, boar, bears, hawks and storks flourish here.

Enjoy a three-star hotel

Our three-star hotel accommodation provides us with en-suite rooms for two, some of which have beds with two mattresses in one frame. We meet each evening to reflect on the activities of the day and join in a time of singing and a Bible talk.
