Hundreds have discovered the delight of cycling along quiet tracks and roads in beautiful scenery on our cycling expeditions. We return home healthy and fit, having had an exciting time exploring carefully selected routes.

A range of routes and cycle groups

We will follow a range of carefully selected routes, which gradually increase in length. Everyone will explore the same routes, but split into different groups depending on the type of cycling you are looking for. The ‘coffee and cakes’ group take everything at a relaxed pace, admiring the scenery, while the fastest group enjoy the chance to prove their fitness! With other groups in between as well, the cycling expeditions are ideal for everyone looking for an active and refreshing break.

Cycling and walking in Austria - adventure and relaxation

New for this year, come with us by air to enjoy the fresh air of the Alps and stay in the comfort of our three-star hotel. Cycle along the valleys with the Alpine peaks towering above. There are many little lanes that run along the valleys, away from the main roads. Our cycling routes take us alongside rushing streams and flower bedecked farmhouses.

Needless to say, the coffee and cakes will provide welcome refreshment as we take breaks in the Alpine villages. Our routes will be in the valley but for those who want ultimate excitement, there will be the option of taking a cable car into the heights. Then gravity powers the thrill of the downhill ride. A wide range of appealing walks are on offer, while activities such as tubing and rafting can be arranged. The next-door village of Fugen has a new thermal spring centre and outdoor pool, with a 133m slide and wave pool.

An excellent end to the day

On all our expeditions, after a day’s cycling we return to our campsite or hotel for an energising meal, as well as a Bible talk that is always a highlight. We can then relax and share stories of the day’s cycling or take part in games and activities.
