Imagine studying the Bible in the mountains
The Oak Hall Alpine Bible School is an opportunity for us to break out of the bustle of everyday life to study the Bible against the glorious backdrop of the mountains. Our greatest need in life is to know God. God is not silent and hiding: he speaks to us every day through the Bible, through his people and through the magnificence of his creation. Yet we may find it hard to hear him, because of a thousand other voices shouting for our attention and time. We take time to explore the Bible in more depth and detail than we would have time for in our normal lives.
Soaring mountain peaks in Austria
The Austrian Tirol is a land of beautiful scenery, with rushing streams and small villages nestling at the foot of mighty mountains. We travel by luxury coach or flight stay in a friendly three-star hotel in the heart of this wonderful region. Rooms are en-suite and for two people (options for three or four are also available).
Exploring the Bible together
Each morning and evening there will be extended sessions of digging deep into God’s Word and learning from Him. It will be a time that will be accessible to the youngest Christian, yet also challenging and rewarding for the most mature.
Rich days of refreshment, study and exploration
In the afternoons we will have time to explore the surrounding area, talking about what we have learnt, letting it sink into our souls and being awed by the majesty of God’s creation. Built into the morning and evening programmes will be time to praise God and discuss how the truths we are learning shape our minds, hearts and our lifestyles.
A wide range of appealing walks are on offer in the local area. The village of Fugen has a thermal spring centre and outdoor pool, with a 133m slide and wave pool.
Interesting excursions
We will also offer a package of excursions to visit the highlights of the region, including locations such as the beautiful Lake Achensee and the city of Salzburg - home to both Mozart and the Sound of Music.
Join us this summer and return home refreshed by the grandeur of God revealed both through the Bible and the majesty of the mountains. |
