Advanced Ski Courses

"I've been skiing for 10 years so I did the course in March and thoroughly enjoyed being stretched and pushed. It was totally intense but really improved my skiing. It was a fantastic and exhausting week."

Advanced Ski Courses (ASC) - the highest level of instruction

Advanced Ski Courses (ASCs) are aimed at those who are looking to advance their skills in the smallest teaching groups. They are run by our senior instructors in the resort of Lauterbrunnen and include at least 20 hours of intense coaching on the mountain plus video analysis in the evenings.

The ASC courses for Winter 2023 will take place in Lauterbrunnen on week 16. The cost is £188.

Skiing 'beyond the normal...'

The course is limited to a class of 8 people and focuses on skiing beyond normal piste conditions – bumps, steeps, variable snow and higher speed carving as well as developing all round skills. The course includes morning and afternoon coaching on the mountain and video analysis in the evenings with time to provide individual feedback and attention.

Excellent preparation for future instructors...

If you have been considering instructing skiing, this course also forms an excellent basis for assessing your readiness for the BASI level 1 course, the entry level instructors qualification, as well as giving you practice at working with video feedback. Oak Hall ASC instructors hold their BASI level 3, a qualification recognised worldwide by the International Ski Instructors Association (ISIA).
"Epic! We had such fun as a group. We focused on powder, bumps and fast carving. Because the course was pretty much all day everyday we really got to know our fellow coursemates well and had great fun with video analysis and Anna's commentary! Physically challenging, it was refreshing to come back tired at the end of each day knowing that we'd pushed ourselves. I'd definitely do it again"

Just £188 for a week of intense ski-training

To book your place, simply book onto a holiday that offers ASC and add this option when choosing your ski instruction package.

In order to qualify for entry on to the course it is important to have extensive skiing experience, be competent on all pisted runs and be looking for an additional challenge! It is at the discretion of our instructor to decide whether you are at the appropriate level to participate in the course and if they feel this is not the case we will be happy to accommodate you within our standard instruction groups available.
