The local shops will have plenty of Scottish shortbread and other local crafts. There will be much to see locally including Melrose Abbey and the former home of Sir Walter Scott. The coast of Northumbria has dramatic scenery, including wide sandy beaches and fishing villages.
Our coach will be taking us on an optional package of excursions, including Edinburgh just 33 miles away. The majestic capital city of Scotland is full of impressive sights waiting to be discovered.
We also explore the east coast of Northumbria, with visits to Bamburgh, Holy Island, Seahouses, and Alnwick. Each offers a treasure trove of historical wonders and breath-taking vistas.
