A huge Austrian ski area

Saalbach Hinterglemm is one of Austria’s great winter destinations. Set in the beautiful Glemm Valley in the Salzburger Land, it links the resorts of Saalbach, Hinterglemm, Leogang and Fieberbrunn into the famous Skicircus – 270km of well-groomed pistes served by 70 state-of-the-art lifts and cableways - all covered by the included 'Ski ALPIN Card' ski pass .

Cosy mountain huts and even more skiing on one pass

With more than 60 mountain huts dotted across the slopes, there is always somewhere to pause, soak up the views and enjoy the classic Austrian mountain setting. The included 'Ski ALPIN Card' ski pass extends our adventure to as much as 408km of slopes, connecting the area with Zell am See and the high-alpine glacier skiing of the Kitzsteinhorn at Kaprun – all on our one lift pass.

Skiing for all levels

This is a brilliant destination, with a wide choice of skiing for beginners, future-experts and more experienced skiers alike! The Skicircus offers around 140km of blue runs, 112km of red runs and 18km of black runs, along with snow parks, fun slopes and freeride areas for those wanting an extra challenge.

Our mountain centre sits at the quiet end of the valley, with the free ski bus giving easy access to the main Hinterglemm and Saalbach lift systems. There is also a small beginner and intermediate slope with a lift close to the centre, which can be a real help for those finding their feet at the start of the week.

Sportclub Mitterlengau – our home for the week

Our base is Sportclub Mitterlengau, a friendly mountain centre in a lovely setting right at the end of the valley, on the sunny side of the mountain. This is a simpler, more relaxed style of accommodation than some of our hotel-based holidays, and it is well suited to an active Oak Hall ski week – with plenty of space for meals, meetings and time together. We share the comfortable mountain centre with one other group, but with our Oak Hall bedrooms all in a similar part of the building.

Most rooms are bunk rooms for three to six people, with shared bathrooms (separate for male and female) on each floor; a small number of twin en-suite rooms may also be available. Bed linen and towels are provided, though we make up our own beds on arrival. Please bring indoor shoes or slippers for use inside the centre.

Hearty meals and great hospitality

We have full board accommodation for the week. A breakfast buffet and a hearty evening meal are freshly prepared for us by the local team, and we eat together as the Oak Hall group in one of the centre’s alpine dining rooms. We lend a hand by setting the tables and clearing our plates at the end of each meal. At breakfast there is the opportunity to make up a packed lunch to take out for the day on the slopes.

Evenings together - a highlight of each trip

After a day in the mountains we return to the centre to relax, eat together and share in our Oak Hall evening programme. A highlight of each evening is a helpful Bible talk brought by one of our Oak Hall speakers. Afterwards there may be a quiz, games, or simply time to enjoy good conversation over a hot chocolate. We have our own room for meetings and activities, and there is a small games room on site with table tennis and pool.

Winter adventures beyond the pistes

Saalbach Hinterglemm offers a wide range of other winter activities, including winter walking and snowshoeing, tobogganing, cross-country skiing in the Talschluss, ice skating and curling, as well as indoor tennis. Enjoy the famous “Golden Gate of the Alps” suspension bridge as well as the Treetop Trail. Some younger visitors will enjoy the Fairy Tale Forest. Some activities are seasonal, weather-dependent or payable locally, but they all add to the lively winter atmosphere of the valley.

To the mountains!

It is a short five to ten minute walk from the centre to the bus stop, then around ten minutes on the free ski bus to the slopes in Hinterglemm. The ski bus runs roughly every 15 minutes until 5pm, making it easy to come and go through the day. Boots and skis can be left in the centre’s ski cellar, so equipment is kept safely at the accommodation overnight and is ready and waiting for the next day on the mountain.

Saalbach-Hinterglemm is a tremendous addition to our 2027 programme - we would love for you to join us here!

Independent Travel

You can select to travel independently during the booking process (NB we are unable to book one way flights or change the date of travel).

You can see the independent discount on the same page as the group flight times (click on 'View/Book' if you are viewing this message on the Dates and Prices page).

Please note that there may be a limit to the numbers of places available with independent travel.

The cost for the optional airport transfer is shown later in the booking process.

The airport transfer is booked to coincide with the group flights. Please note that the driver would not be able to wait if you miss the transfer on the first day. If you are not booking on the same flight as the group, we would suggest booking a flight that arrives at least 2 hours before the group flight in case of any delays to your flight.

On the last day, please book a flight which departs after the group flight if you wish to use the airport transfer.

Please do not book your flights until you have received an email from Oak Hall confirming your place on this trip.

If you are travelling independently but someone else in your party will use the group flights, please make separate bookings.

If there are any changes to the holiday, we would not be able to cover the cost of changes to your independent flights. We would therefore recommend booking fully flexible tickets or joining the holiday using our flights.
