Endless skiing

With 320 km of ski runs and unmeasurable off piste spread across 5 mountains, Davos offers a vast variety of skiing. Intermediates love cruising down the 12km run starting above the treeline, entering the pine forests, passing huts in clearings, travelling through meadows to reach the village of Kublis. For advanced skiers there are good challenging black runs and eleven unmarked, but mapped ski routes.

The highest city in Switzerland

Davos is the highest city in Switzerland (at 1560m) and the host of the World Economic Forum. Bustling and history-soaked, Arthur Conan Doyle (the creator of Sherlock Holmes) was one of the first to ski at Davos. He described, ‘gliding delightfully over the gentle slopes, flying down the steeper ones, taking an occasional cropper, but getting as near to flying as any earthbound man can.’

An Oak Hall welcome at Post Frauenkirch

Davos is one of the one of the very best Swiss ski resorts and as a result, accommodation is extremely expensive.

We are very fortunate to have secured the Post Frauenhof for two weeks in the high season. It offers very simple, old fashioned accommodation. It will be cosy with basic but adequate rooms having previously been a hotel. It will be all we need as skiers on returning from the mountains.

Our own Oak Hall team will be providing the breakfasts, packed lunches and hot evening meals. Coffees, teas and hot chocolate will be free of charge to welcome us back each day.

Easy access to 320 kms of superb skiing

Our centre is in an ideal position with the ski bus just 100m from the front door to take us to the base of each of the ski areas - 7 minutes to Rinerhorn, 10 minutes to Jakobshorn and 20 minutes to Parsenn. We are certain of enjoying superb skiing.
